Position at OH: Founder, Executive Director

Zodiac Sign: Aquarius (the best one)

Background: BSN (UofL, 2008); MSN (BSU, 2017); Seven years of pediatric community healthcare; upper management positions including title of Regional Director of Nursing, overseeing multiple prescribed pediatric extended care (PPEC) centers across Kentucky. Years of experience in policy, procedure, state regulations, oversight of day-to-day operations, quality improvement initiatives and taking an active role in the planning and opening of three new PPEC facilities has prepared me to take on this amazing venture.

Why I’m passionate about OH: Well, I envisioned OH for years before the dream became a reality. In a nutshell, OH means everything to me. I’ve always dreamed of creating something greater than myself and leaving the world a better place than the way I found it. As a mom, wife, nurse, native Louisvillian, and member of the human race I consider it an honor and a responsibility to advocate for equitable access to resources for some of our most vulnerable, yet resilient, and breathtakingly beautiful children. Click Here to read more about my journey to Orchid House.

Ask me about: Local coffee, Indian food, rescue pit bulls (and how to introduce them to your sassy labradoodle), pediatric nursing in underserved communities, Game of Thrones (are you current?), being a vegetarian, how our food choices impact our health (support local farms!), making music videos with your kids, where to go in the Highlands/Germantown, and why I LOVE Portland.

Parting thoughts to you, the viewer: What can we achieve together?
